According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the eruption was phreatomagmatic—caused by the interaction of magma and water—and lasted only a short time before subsiding. The activity was captured by the agency's monitoring cameras.

Officials said the volcano remains under Alert Level 1, meaning it is exhibiting low-level unrest but is not currently showing signs of a major eruption. Residents and tourists have nevertheless been advised to avoid entering the Permanent Danger Zone on Volcano Island because sudden steam-driven explosions, volcanic gases and ash emissions remain possible.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or significant damage, and authorities confirmed that no mass evacuations had been ordered. However, disaster management agencies continue to closely monitor the volcano, which is among the Philippines' most active and has a history of deadly eruptions.

PHIVOLCS has urged nearby communities to remain vigilant and follow official advisories as monitoring of Taal Volcano continues.
