Welcome to Keryx — a community publishing platform for news, opinions, poetry, satire, humour, essays, events, and every form of written expression worth sharing. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of Keryx, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Keryx. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at noreply@keryxonline.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of content you post. By submitting content, you grant Keryx a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute it in connection with operating the platform.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of your content. Content must not:
- Be false, misleading, or deliberately deceptive
- Infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights
- Contain hate speech, harassment, or threats
- Include spam, unsolicited promotions, or malware
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its infrastructure
- Use automated scripts to scrape, crawl, or harvest data without our permission
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operations
- Create multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions
- Use the platform to distribute illegal content or conduct illegal activities
6. Intellectual Property
The Keryx name, logo, design, and all platform-created content are owned by Keryx and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
7. Reading Circles
Reading Circles are community spaces governed by the circle creator and members. Keryx is not responsible for content posted within private circles. Circle creators are responsible for moderating their circles and ensuring compliance with these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. KERYX DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. CONTENT ON KERYX IS CONTRIBUTED BY USERS AND THIRD PARTIES; WE DO NOT VERIFY ITS ACCURACY AND ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR FACTUAL ERRORS IN USER-SUBMITTED MATERIAL.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KERYX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana.
12. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
