<p>President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to transforming Ghana's economy, declaring that the country is pursuing an ambitious programme aimed at driving sustainable growth, industrialisation and investment.</p><p>Speaking during a ceremony to receive letters of credence from seven newly accredited ambassadors at the Jubilee House, President Mahama highlighted Ghana's strategic role within Africa's evolving economic landscape and invited stronger international partnerships to support the country's development agenda.</p><p>According to the President, Ghana is positioning itself as a key entry point to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which offers access to a market of more than 1.4 billion people across the continent. He noted that his government's economic transformation programme is focused on creating opportunities for investment, expanding industrial capacity and strengthening economic resilience.</p><p>Mahama emphasized that Ghana remains committed to fostering a stable political environment, strengthening democratic institutions and maintaining a business-friendly climate capable of attracting foreign direct investment. He assured the diplomats that his administration is focused on implementing reforms that will enhance economic competitiveness and improve the livelihoods of Ghanaians.</p><p>The President also underscored the importance of international cooperation in addressing shared global challenges, including economic development, trade, climate change and security. He expressed optimism that the newly accredited envoys would help deepen bilateral relations between Ghana and their respective countries.</p><p>The presentation of credentials marks the formal commencement of diplomatic duties for the ambassadors in Ghana.
