Pedestrians were also forced to wade through knee-deep floodwaters in some communities to reach their destinations.

The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) advised the public to avoid flood-prone and low-lying areas, urging motorists not to attempt crossing flooded roads as water levels remained unpredictable. Emergency responders continued to monitor vulnerable communities while assessing the extent of damage.

The flooding follows earlier warnings issued by the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet), which forecast above-average rainfall over the Greater Accra Region and cautioned that flash flooding was likely during periods of intense precipitation. Authorities had also identified several communities, including Odawna, Alajo, Nima, Madina and parts of Osu, as high-risk flood zones ahead of the rainy period.

As of publication, no official casualty figures had been released. However, emergency officials continued to monitor the situation while urging residents living near waterways and drainage channels to remain vigilant as more rainfall remains possible.
