<h1><br></h1><p>Speaking during the Government Accountability Series in Accra, the Minister said the reforms are focused on improving learning outcomes, strengthening foundational education and ensuring that graduates possess the competencies required by today's labour market. He stressed that education must go beyond academic achievement to prepare students for innovation, entrepreneurship and meaningful employment.</p><p>According to Mr. Iddrisu, the Ministry of Education is implementing a revised curriculum for kindergarten through junior high school that places greater emphasis on critical thinking, creativity, digital literacy and practical problem-solving. He noted that the reforms are intended to produce learners who are adaptable and capable of meeting the demands of the 21st-century economy.</p><p>The Minister also highlighted efforts to expand opportunities in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), teacher development and professional skills training. He said broadening access to these programmes is essential to building a skilled workforce that can support Ghana's industrialisation agenda and national development objectives.</p><p>Mr. Iddrisu reiterated the government's resolve to make education more inclusive and responsive to the needs of the labour market. He called on educators, parents and other stakeholders to support the reforms, emphasising that the success of the education sector depends on collective efforts to prepare young people for future opportunities.</p><p>The government's education reform agenda forms part of a broader strategy to improve access, quality and relevance across all levels of education, with the ultimate goal of producing graduates who are equipped with the knowledge, technical expertise and life skills needed to contribute to Ghana's socio-economic development.</p><p>Photo credit: 3news, Hon.
