<div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Today marks one year since Ghana was plunged into mourning following one of the country’s most devastating tragedy ,a <span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">helicopter crash which claimed the lives of eight distinguished public servants and military personnel.</span></div><div><br></div><div>The victims were Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence; Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation; Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator; Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC); Mr. Samuel Aboagye, former parliamentary candidate; Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Pilot; Flying OfficerTwum Ampadu<span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">, Co-pilot; and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.</span></div><div><br></div><div>The tragic accident sent shockwaves across Ghana, prompting an outpouring of grief from the government, political leaders, the security services, civil society organisations, and citizens from all walks of life. The nation observed days of mourning as flags flew at half-mast and tributes poured in to honour the lives and service of the deceased.</div><div><br></div><div>Over the past year, families, colleagues, and loved ones have continued to mourn their loss while remembering the dedication, professionalism, and patriotism each of the victims demonstrated in service to the nation.
