A 15-year-old Ghanaian boy, identified as Javits Frimpong, has been shot and killed while on his way to school in the Bronx, New York.
His father, Thomas Frimpong, believes bullying may have played a role in his son’s death. He revealed that just three days before the shooting, two students accused of bullying his son had been suspended for one week following a report from the school principal.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) is searching for three teenage boys, believed to be between 16 and 18 years old, in connection with the killing. The suspects reportedly fled the scene after the shooting.
Police have not confirmed the motive, and no arrests have been announced.
